Suitable for road, trackday or motorsport use, I offer fully overhauled Triumph IRS or Live beam axles, complete with a brand new UK-made Quaife limited-slip unit & your choice of ratio. Default ratio is the standard PI at 3.45:1, whilst 3.7:1, 3.9:1, 4.1:1, 4.3:1, & 4.55:1 can all be supplied, subject to availability & added cost for ratios higher than 3.7:1. New bearings & uprated seals are fitted, & the IRS front mounting plate can be reinforced if required- (recommended for motorsport use). I have built a large number of Triumph axles over the last thirty-odd years & know how to keep them in one piece, even when transmitting 250 lb of torque & 250+ BHP on the racetrack. I require a core unit, with undamaged front & rear mounts, to work from, but can supply on an outright basis from time to time, subject to availability of usable core. The advertised price reflects the fitment of quality Japanese bearings & an unworn OEM 3.45 or 3.7 crownwheel/pinion pair. Often imitated but never improved, the Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing (ATB) limited slip differential is the perfect traction solution that delivers noticeable performance benefits on any car using a factory’open’ differential unit. Originally introduced in the 1980’s, Quaife ATB limited slip differentials are well proven, precision engineered, British made, highly durable and used worldwide in rallying, circuit racing, sprinting, rallycross and Time Attack, as well as the open road. Safe, progressive and seamless in action, the Quaife ATB differential never’locks. Controlled power is transmitted to all driven wheels, to maximise traction and minimise wheelspin, particularly in slippery conditions. Fitment greatly reduces unwanted torque steer, understeer or oversteer. Designed to work in harmony with road car electronic stability and traction control programs. BMW E81 Quaife Limited-slip REAR DIFFERENTIAL. FITTING SERVICE ALSO AVAILABLE. All my differentials are built by my self by hand in house every part is scrutinized and inspected and nothing is left to chance. My differentials are fully reconditioned units which means all serviceable parts are replaced. I find my self more and more repairing differentials that have apparently been reconditioned months prior to find out that all that may have been changed is the absolute minimum or nothing at all. My differentials are properly rebuilt automotive parts. The item has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part. As well as a lack of lubrication to the cone bearings they become very problematic and start failing. A modification is now implemented to allow more oil to the bearings. Modified bearings setup in house to my own specific tolerances. We provide the highest quality reconditioned genuine BMW differentials. The differentials are reconditioned with genuine OE components, bearings are a modified item to resolve the fault in design, fully stripped down, cleaned using our in house ultrasonic cleaner, tolerances, preload spec and contact mesh checked along with all new seals, and non consumables replaced. Units are checked fully and tested before dispatch. Currently and one of very few companies in the UK – possibly the only one – able to offer this upgrade. We have many options in respect to mods, up rated / improved parts, and processes implemented. So you can feel rest asssuered that you are purchasing a quality engineered component. The workmanship and attention to detail that goes into one of our Differential builds is bar non you will not find any corners cut here. We pride our selves on our Differentials not only internal but external and guarantee our Units for 12 months. All preload shims custom ground in house to a 1 micron tolerance. A properly rebuilt automotive part. Rebuild includes full strip and cleaning of internal oiling system, with modifications to increase oil flow. We’ll also guarantee our work for 1 years, or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) on fitted Differential, 6 months / 6,000 miles on’take-away’ units and 3 months for all auxiliary parts. This will help you when it’s time to return your old Differential. This can be arranged at an extra cost. Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland post codes available at an additional cost. The old Differential needs to be unmolested and serviceable, what this means is that the Differential needs to come complete not stripped or dismantled, and must have no holes or damage to the case. If your Differential is leaking oil from the case or has no drive, then its safe to say that the Differential is most likely non serviceable. Once the new Differential has been received simply refrain all packaging and securing fixings, these will assist you when returning the old Differential. This can be extended considerably if the Differential is a bespoke item and requires a build slot. Our workshop hours are 9.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday and 9.00am – 1pm Saturday.
