On Ford English Axles the diff is removed from the front as a complete unit, on Atlas axles the diff is removed from the rear via an inspection plate. The power capacity of the English Axle has been considerably upgraded over 50 years. Once the half shafts have been upgraded and the recently manufactured high quality lapped sets CWP’s added with the correct set up will now also take 300hp. The next weak point was the. Old Salisbury style LSD. But this Blackline type Atlas design has a power capacity equal to the Atlas LSD of up to 300hp. The default setting is 60ft lbs (rally) but plate sets of 37ft lbs (oval race, road) or 80ft lbs (race) are available additional cost options. Supplied with 22 tooth spline to suit OEM size half shafts. Applies equal rotational speed to both wheels. Controlled power on launches and drifting slides.
